Around 39% of NI households are living in fuel poverty.
That’s why the Fuel Poverty Coalition NI has responded to the Department for Communities consultation on the Warm Healthy Homes Fund.
The proposed new energy efficiency scheme has the potential to deliver significant improvements in warmth, health and energy affordability for low-income and vulnerable households. While we welcome many of the proposals, our response also sets out further recommendations to strengthen the Fund’s design, so that it can deliver lasting benefits for households experiencing fuel poverty.
